Abstract
Very low frequencies internal friction measurement (1 - 10-4 Hz) in ice permitted to increase the knowledge of the internal friction of ice, especially the relaxation phenomenon. The activation energy of the relaxation is 0.25 eV, a caracteristic value of the migration of rotational defects. It follows a Curie Law. Experiments after different cooling rate put in evidence the role of intrinsic defects.
