A STUDY OF HYDROGEN ACCUMULATION AROUND ALLOYING TITANIUM IN NIOBIUM BY THE INTERNAL FRICTION TECHNIQUE

Abstract
The internal friction spectrum of Nb-Ti-H systems has been investigated from 250 to 1.4 K at frequencies ranging from 2.5 to 74.5 kHz. At intermediate temperatures two maxima have been observed which are attributed various types of Tim-Hn complexes. At low temperatures two new peaks appear whose features markedly deviate from classical behaviour.
