ANOMALOUS 57Fem CHARGE STATES IN COMPLEXES OXIDES

Abstract
Mössbauer measurements on non-stoichiometric spinels (CoRh2O4+x, CoMn2O4+x) and oxygen deficient oxides with perovskites and perovskite related structures (LnCoO3-x with Ln=Eu, La, Dy, Y and LaCoO3 : Sr2+ (Ca2+)) dopped with 57Co have been done. It is argued that the charge states of the 57Fem daughter depend on the nature and concentration of vacancies present in the lattice. In perovskites the existence of vacancies both random and of ordered distribution has been observed.
