Résumé
Nous décrivons la mise en évidence par C.E.M.S. de martensite, de cémentite et d'austénite à la surface d'échantillons soumis à des tests d'usure. Nous montrons que l'apparition de rayures est associée à celle de la cémentite et que le grippage est à corréler avec la présence d'un mélange d'austénite et de martensite. Nous apportons quelques arguments en faveur d'une décomposition du produit lubrifiant.
Abstract
Estimation by C.E.M.S. of martensite, carbide and austenite in wear surfaces is described. It is shown that scoring is associated with the production of carbide on the surface, and scuffing with a deformed mixture of austenite and martensite. Some evidence of breakdown of the lubricant is presented.
