Abstract
Magneto-optical spectrum of compositionally modulated multilayered thin films (CMF) of transition metal/noble metal structure is calculated by using virtual optical constant method, by which most of the experimental results are explained. The physical reasons of enhancement of magneto-optical effect are discussed.
