Abstract
For relaxed models of amorphous Fe1-xBx and Fe1-xZrxHy, we calculate the magnetic properties by means of a self-consistent tight-binding approach, including the Coulomb interaction between Fe 3d-electrons and all hybridization effects. The addition of hydrogen H to Fe-rich Fe1-xZrx leads to a drastic increase of the magnetization as a consequence of a drastic volume dependence of the magnetization of fictitious amorphous Fe.
