Abstract
The dipolar interaction in [Er (1)x, Sn( l)1-x] Er (2)4 Rh6Sn18 is studied by computer simulations. The dipolar ground state agrees with the ordering found experimentally and the energy approaches the magnetic one determined from specific heat data. The dipolar fields obtained give information about the destruction of superconductivity by magnetic order in this compound.
