MAGNETOVOLUME EFFECT IN FERROMAGNETIC METALS : NUMERICAL RESULTS FOR BCC Fe AND FCC Ni

Abstract
The magnetovolume effect in ferromagnetic bcc Fe and fcc Ni is estimated numerically in the fixed moment method by using the LMTO method and the local spin density approximation. The obtained results are compared with the experimental results.
