Abstract
Using magnetization measurements and Mössbauer spectroscopy investigation, iron-tin amorphous films with the composition near to FeSn₂ have been studied. Their magnetic behaviour, far from that of a ferromagnet, has been interpreted in terms of size distributed magnetic clusters experiencing strong local anisotropy which results in spin-glass-like states.
