MAGNETIC MULTILAYERS : STATICS AND DYNAMICS

Abstract
In the framework of Ginzburg-Landay theory we calculate static and dynamical properties of ferromagnetic multilayers : Tc, mean magnetization and inelastic neutron scattering cross section. The magnon spectrum has a band structure, but the gaps vanish for certain values of k and ω. The cross section strongly increases at the points where gaps vanish.
