EFFECT OF STRUCTURE DISORDER ON MAGNETISM OF ZrZn2 AND Ni3Al ALLOYS

Abstract
In sputter-deposited Zr-Zn and Ni-Al alloys, an amorphous Zr-Zn phase appears for 30-80 at % Zn, while a disordered fcc Ni-Al phase appears for 0-30 at % Al and an amorphous Ni-Al phase for 65-80 at % Al. The amorphous Zr-66 at % Zn and disordered Ni-25 at % Al alloys are paramagnetic down to 4.2 K.
