Abstract
The magnetocrystalline anisotropy energy and spin reorientations have been determined for single crystal Y1.8Nd0.2Fe14B and Y1.9Nd0.1Fe14B in the (100) and (110) planes as a function of temperature between 10 K and 300 K using torque magnetometry. The results are compared with a model based on crystal field theory.
