MAGNETIC PHASE TRANSITIONS IN (R - Y) Co2 AND R (Co - M)2 COMPOUNDS (R = HEAVY RARE-EARTH AND M = Al AND Ni)

Abstract
Concentration dependence of the Curie temperature Tc of (R - Y) Co2 and R (Co - M)2 (R = heavy rare-earth, M = Al and Ni) is calculated by making use of a phonomenological model. Type of the magnetic phase transitions (first- or second-order transition) in (R - Y) Co2 and that of RCo2 under high pressure are studied.
