ON THE CARBON π - AND σ-BANDS IN C8K AND C24K

Abstract
We discuss possible sources of the disagreement between the π-bands derived from angle-resolved C K-emission bands of C8K by Eisberg et al. and Mansour et al.. We interpret the σ- and π-bands of C8K and C24K in view of our calculations. Our investigations favour the results of Eisberg et al.
