Abstract
The field sensitivity and the temperature dependence of the field evaporation of tungsten ions were analyzed within the framework of the charge exchange model. Superposition of pair potentials was used to calculate numerically the atomic and ionic potentials and the position of their crossing point. Calculations were performed for the kink site atom of W(110) surface. It was found that the use of simple model potentials gives good agreement with experiment.
