CONTRIBUTION OF LOW-FREQUENCY LONGITUDINAL PHONONS TO THE LATTICE THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY OF DIELECTRIC SOLIDS

Abstract
Contributions of low-frequency longitudinal phonons to the lattice thermal conductivity are estimated using the Pomeranchuk mean free path and a cut-off given by the Akhieser theory. The temperature dependences are compared with data for rubidium halides, germanium and silicon.
