COMPARISON OF ELECTRON SPIN-LATTICE RELAXATION IN AMORPHOUS AND CRYSTALLINE MATERIALS

Abstract
A quadratic law is observed for the first time in a true amorphous material with dilute electron spins. We interpret it as due to a coupling of the spins to the phonons via T.L.S. with a constant density of states up to 2Emax = 56 K.
