Abstract
This review focusses on three main topics. First, self - interstitial atoms in pure A1 (fcc) and pure Mo (bcc). The emphasis lies on a comparison between mechanical relaxation (MR) measurements and diffuse X-ray scattering (DXS) experiments. Second, self - interstitial atom solute-atom complexes in dilute alloys and third , Zener relaxation in Ag-Zn in thermal equilibrium and during irradiation will be discussed.
