Abstract
Electric double layers have recently attracted much interest and several new experimental results have been reported [1] [2] [3] [4] [5]. Recent reviews of the phenomenon include a general survey [6] as well as separate reviews of experiments [7] and theory [8]. Several possible applications to space and astrophysical plasmas have been discussed [9] [10] [11].
