AS GROWN LiF : Mn2+ SAMPLES ANALYSED BY LUMINESCENCE

Abstract
Evidence of the formation of three precipitated phases in as grown LiF: Mn2+ single crystals by means of the luminescence technique is reported. All phases involve [MnF6]4- units though the Mn2+ - F- distance of one of them is 2.03 Å. This unusual distance has been related to the existence of the Suzuki phase.
